The Biography of Gandhi...
Gandhi was a man of hope, religion, faith, and most importantly peace. This ambiance that Gandhi held in his heart of peacefulness lead him and many people to speak up and achieve independence of India from the British. Referring back to his quote, Gandhi believes that the "way of truth and love has always won," which is what exactly happened when the Indians gained independence.
An example of love winning in the end is when several Indian men approached the soldiers under British rule without violence and took the beating. This showed the British officials
that the mean would not fight for themselves in order to keep the peace that Gandhi encouraged everyone to keep. This also showed that the men were willing to take a beating in love for their country.
My last example is after India gained its independence and people started fighting among themselves and bringing back the violence. Once Gandhi saw that people were back to their old ways of fighting and terrorism, he decided to humbly protest against the people by not eating. By doing this Ghandi fell extremely ill almost to the point of death. Once people finally realized that by fighting they are hurting a person that they looked up to for guidance they stopped. You can easily tell that the people of India loved Gandhi which shows once again that love wins in the end after all!
